Power Plants – Delay Claims:
Michael supported a major mechanical contractor with the planning and subsequent delay claims analysis of a $2B construction of a natural gas-fired plant to replace an outdated coal-fired plant on the same site.
Michael developed a detailed baseline and incorporated installation of major mechanical equipment, to meet interim contract milestone dates, including:
- 2x Gas Turbine, Generator and auxiliaries for U5 and U6
- 2x Steam Turbine, Generator and auxiliaries for U5 and U6
- 2x Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) for U5 and U6
- 1x Air Cooler Condenser (ACC)
Michael developed monthly progress updates and detailed narratives identifying:
- Status of current and projected status of the work
- Status of contract milestone dates
- Primary and near critical paths
- Anticipated equipment delivery dates by others
- Impeded access, by others, to progress critical path work
- Current and projected labor demands
- Open RFIs and analysis of singular and cumulative impacts to critical path work
- Interference/discrepancies of installed components, by others, and analysis of singular and cumulative impacts to critical path work
Michael, also, developed:
- Requests for time extensions
- Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs), and
- Time Impact Analysis (TIA) to support entitlement
